Jio luanches new jio bharat 4G phone at Rs 999 to drive '2G-mukt' india.

Reliance jio  has announced jio bharat V2 phone in india with 4G connectivity at starting price of Rs 999. According to the press release, the beta testing for 1 million devices will start on 7 july. The bharat V2 has 4.5 cm TFT screen, a 0.3MP camera and 1000mAh battery witha 3.5mm headphone jack and a torch.




Reliance jio , the telecom arm of oil-to-retail conglomerate Reliance Industries Ltd, unveiled the all new JioBharat V2 4G phone on july 03, with an aim enable india's vast segmentof feature phone users internet-enable phones.

The telecom company emphasisedthat there are still 250 million mobile consumers in country who are stuck using 2G technology and basic phone with no internet access.

To address this, the telecom major unveiled JioBharat phone in an effort to give access to digital  services to every indian's, especially those who cannot afford a smartphone.

The new device, much like its predecessor JioPhone, features OTT service bundling with Jio Cinema and Jio Saavn in addition to high-definition calling, camera capabilities and JioPay service to make payments using the unified payments interface (UPI).

Besides Reliance Retail, other phone brands (starting with Karbonn), will adopt the ‘Jio Bharat platform’ to build ‘Jio Bharat phones’, the telco said. The beta trial for first 1 million Jio Bharat phones will begin from July 7 and will take place across 6500 tehsils.


Jio Bharat recharge plans

The telco has also launched Jio Bharat plans that start at Rs 123 for 28 days. With this recharge plan, you get unlimited voice calls and 0.5/GB of data per day. Then there’s the Jio Bharat annual plan priced at Rs 1,234, and this one also offers 0.5/GB per day and unlimited voice calls.
